What is a DC Energy Meter


Electronic DC energy meter refers to an instrument that outputs a value proportional to the measured electric energy, which is produced by the action of DC current (or voltage representing DC current) and DC voltage on solid-state (electronic) components.


DC energy meter requires electricity to operate, and based on the power supply mode can be divided into two types: Type A electronic DC energy meter: an energy meter powered by an independent power supply. Type B electronic DC energy meter: an energy meter powered by a voltage line. Depending on the method of DC access to the DC energy meter, it can be divided into direct access and indirect access types. When the measurement current is relatively small, we can choose a direct access DC energy meter: the voltage and current measurement components are directly connected to the energy meter in the DC circuit being measured.
