Applications of Different Types of ACREL 3-Phase Energy Meter

Electric meters are installed and used in every household as a power consumption metering device, and everyone has some understanding of them. There are many types of electric meters, which can be divided into single-phase electric meters and three-phase electric meters according to the power source type. ACREL 3-phase energy meters are mostly used in industrial and large user categories of meters. Today, we will focus on analyzing the categories of three-phase electric meters.

ACREL 3-phase energy meters can be divided into three-phase three-wire electric meters, high-voltage three-phase four-wire electric meters, and low-voltage three-phase four-wire electric meters. Low-voltage three-phase four-wire electric meters can be further divided into three-phase direct electric meters and three-phase mutual inductance electric meters. Different types of three-phase electric meters are also used in different scenarios.

ACREL 3-Phase Energy Meter (Three-Phase Three-Wire)

Three-phase three-wire electric meters commonly have voltage specifications of 3×100V, with each phase A, B, and C having a voltage of 100V. Current specifications are 1.5(6)A, 0.3(1.2)A, etc., with accuracy levels of 0.5 and 0.2, used for measuring power with a delta connection. Three-phase three-wire electric meters do not have a neutral wire. When installed, 2 current transformers are connected, and voltage sampling is connected using PT. They are commonly used for high-voltage cabinets, industrial parks, power stations, substations, and checkpoint meters.

ACREL 3-Phase Energy Meter (High-Voltage Three-Phase Four-Wire)

High-voltage three-phase four-wire electric meters have a voltage specification of 3×57.7V/100V, indicating a phase voltage of 57.7V and a line voltage of 100V. Current specifications are 1.5(6)A, 0.3(1.2)A, etc., with accuracy levels of 0.5 and 0.2, used for measuring power with a star connection. When installed, 3 current transformers are connected, and voltage sampling is connected using PT. They are commonly used for high-voltage cabinets, industrial parks, power stations, substations, and checkpoint meters.

ACREL 3-Phase Energy Meter (Low-Voltage Three-Phase Four-Wire Mutual Inductance Type)

Low-voltage three-phase four-wire mutual inductance electric meters have a voltage specification of 3×220V/380V, indicating a phase voltage of 220V and a line voltage of 380V. Current specifications are mostly 1.5(6)A, with an accuracy level of 0.5, used for measuring power with a star connection. When installed, 3 current transformers are connected, and voltage sampling is directly connected to the three-phase electric meter. They are suitable for commercial buildings, large office buildings, factories, schools, and other large power user locations. Low-voltage three-phase four-wire mutual inductance electric meters are used for circuits with currents greater than 100A on the low-voltage side.

ACREL 3-Phase Energy Meter (Low-Voltage Three-Phase Four-Wire Direct Type)

Low-voltage three-phase four-wire direct electric meters have a voltage specification of 3×220V/380V, indicating a phase voltage of 220V and a line voltage of 380V. Current specifications are 5(60)A, 5(80)A, and 5(100)A, etc., with accuracy levels of 0.5 and 1. Used for measuring power with a star connection. When installed, the power line is directly connected to the input end of the three-phase electric meter, and wires are drawn from the output end to the user. They are applicable to shops, villas, workshops, etc. Low-voltage three-phase four-wire direct electric meters are used for circuits with currents less than 100A on the low-voltage side.

ACREL 3-phase energy meters have many applications beyond power metering, such as time-based metering, forward and reverse active and reactive energy, event alarms, event records, load curves, remote communication, and more. They help users and power management personnel understand the real-time operation of the power, monitor and measure the energy consumption of various equipment, and take corresponding energy-saving measures by analyzing energy consumption data to reduce energy costs.

Different specifications of ACREL 3-phase energy meters have no strict limitations on application scenarios. They are mainly based on actual power demand and power management requirements.
